The Story of Gretel's Handcrafted Soap

Gretel's handcrafted soaps are crafted and developed from goat's milk and other all-natural products. Every bar of quality soap and tin of salve is mixed, molded and packaged by hand on Steve and Gretel Adams' farm in Columbus, Ohio. Steve and Gretel have been operating their 10 acre all-natural flower and vegetable farm since 2008. They began crafting soaps and selling them along with their produce at local farmer's markets in 2009, and launched this website in 2010 in order to reach a broader market with their fantastic products.

About our All-Natural Soaps and Salves

Gretel's soap is made with all natural ingredients: vegetable oils, goat’s milk, beeswax and essential oils.

When you use our handcrafted soaps, you will feel the difference on your skin, and never go back to store-bought "soap".

The moisture left on your skin by Gretel's soaps is natural glycerin, a natural by-product of soap production. Many commercial companies actually extract the glycerin from their soaps and use it to make lotion, making you pay twice!

With our handcrafted, all-natural soaps, every ingredient serves a purpose. The coconut oil provides good lather in any type of water. The palm oil and beeswax make the bar more firm and durable for heavy use, and the soybean oil softens it just enough.

Extra ingredients, like coffee grounds or dried herbs, help to gently exfoliate the skin. The cocoa butter promotes extra-moisturizing while allowing your skin to breath.

Due to the all-natural ingredients Steve and Gretel use in every bar of soap and container of salve, the color may vary slightly from batch to batch. Every bar of soap is hand cut and therefore may differ slightly in shape, but all match the weight on the package.
